The discovery of a new butterfly species is very rare nowadays, so it’s even more remarkable that Texas researchers have discovered not just one, but two new species.
The annual meeting of the Southern Lepidopterists’ Society and the Association for Tropical Lepidoptera will be held this year with that of the Lepidopterists’ Society at the McGuire Center for Lepidoptera and Biodiversity in Gainesville Florida on June 27-30.

The Annual Meeting is scheduled for 28-30 September, 2012 in the McGuire Center for Lepidoptera and Biodiversity Conference Room, at the Florida Museum of Natural History, University of Florida. The McGuire Center is located adjacent to the Powell Hall on the University campus and can be accessed directly off 34th St. and Hull Road.
